Build my learning path

No account needed to see your path.

The channels keep changing and the underlying skill does not: understanding who you are talking to, what would make them act, and whether what you did worked. Most marketing that fails does so because nobody could say what success would have looked like before it started.

What you'll be able to do

  • Work out who you are actually talking to, and what they are trying to do
  • Write copy that makes a case rather than making noise
  • Plan a channel — search, social, email, paid — against a number, not a feeling
  • Set up measurement before the campaign, not after it
  • Read the results honestly enough to stop something that is not working

What happens when you pick this

  1. 1 Upskili checks what you can already do
  2. 2 It maps the gap between that and the skill
  3. 3 It sequences what is left, easiest dependency first
  4. 4 You practise it, and the path adjusts to how you do

Where this skill is used

Roles that ask for it. Name one when you state your goal and the path is built for that job rather than for the subject in general.

Common questions

Has AI made digital marketing skills obsolete?

It has made producing content nearly free, which devalues volume and raises the value of judgement — knowing what to say, to whom, and whether it worked. The parts under most pressure are undifferentiated copywriting and basic reporting. Strategy, positioning and measurement have become more valuable, not less.

Where should a beginner start in digital marketing?

With one channel and one real thing to market, even a small one. Marketing is learned by running something and watching what happens, and a beginner who has actually grown one channel understands more than one who has studied five. Analytics is the other half: without measurement you are only collecting opinions.

Is SEO still worth learning?

Yes, though what it means has shifted. Search traffic still converts better than most channels, but the work is now as much about being quotable by AI assistants as about ranking blue links. The underlying skill — understanding what people are trying to find and being genuinely the best answer — has survived every previous change to search.
